Job Description
Are you a Food & Beverage leader with strong organizational skills, an eye for detail and value cleanliness above all else? If so, we are looking for a strong Kitchen Steward to oversee the organization, cleanliness and sanitization of all F&B outlets, within the Downhill Area. Knowledge in use of kitchen equipment is required as well as the ability to oversee & schedule a team of dishwashers and bussers. Responsibilities & Qualifications
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (include but not limited to the following):
– Lead and oversee the team of Bussers that busses tables in the Cypress Creek Grill, Cantina and Gold Medal Cafe.
– Ensure the table seating for all guests is clean, organized, and inviting.
– Adhere to and ensure compliance with the cleaning schedule and standards.
– Assist, stock, and organize storage rooms, refrigerators and freezers.
– Support and adhere to compost, recycling and waste management plan.
– Hire, onboard, train, schedule, support, assist the dishwashing team.
– Hire, onboard, train, schedule, support, assist the bussing team.
– Stock cutlery, cups, plateware and serving stations.
– Add seasonal decorations in seating areas when needed.
– Adhere to, training and support all Health & Safety/Risk Management programs.
– Ensure all bussing and dishwashing team members have completed annual training and on-boarding, including OH&S documentation.
Financial Management:
– Manage janitorial and house-keeping supply costs.
– Maintain bussing and dishwasher labour.
– Coordinate and communicate with F&B Management.

QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES:
– Ability to lead and motivate a team.
– Previous dishwashing and housekeeping experience (or equivalent experience cleaning/organizing spaces).
– Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
– Highly responsible & reliable.
– Effective team building skills.
– Excellent communication, prioritization and organizational skills.
– Excellent interpersonal skills, able to give and receive feedback.
– Motivated to take on new challenges and responsibilities, able to show initiative and adapt to change.
– Strong problem-solving skills.
– Ability to work a flexible schedule according to the demands of the business.
– Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
– High School or equivalent.
– Experience in a Food & Beverage environment.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
– Must be able to legally work in Canada
– Hold a valid BC Driver’s License – an asset
– Have a dependable/insured vehicle required to get to/from work an asset
Salary/Wage
$21/hr
