Night auditor responsibilities
greet and check in guests upon arrival and provide hotel information
prepare receipts for checkout and process invoices
make reservations, answer the phone, and schedule wake-up calls
post the room charges and taxes
process and verify payment for reservations
reconcile receipts with cash drawers and balance cash drawers
manage and supervise the hotel safe, ensuring the safety of guests’ valuables
ensure that hotel amenities are reliable and clean by communicating with maintenance and housekeeping departments
verify the completion of all end-of-day tasks by previous front desk personnel
respond to questions, concerns, and complaints from guests
prepare end-of-day reports before the shift ends
make reservations for guests at local restaurants and entertainment venues for the following day
arrange for taxi or shuttle services
promote hotel features and services to upsell guest rooms
