Job Description

Uniglobe Specialty Travel, a proudly Canadian-owned and operated company with 30 years of industry experience, is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Leisure Travel Consultant to join our team. Responsibilities & Qualifications

Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain a positive, cheerful approach with all customers, both internal and external.
• Use creativity and a variety of resources to overcome challenges, satisfy clients’ needs, and maximize agency revenues.
• Establish clients’ needs on first contact, qualifying by leading client conversations with focused questions and treating each inquiry with patience and care.
• Offer comparisons and make thoughtful recommendations.
• Ensure that all reservations are processed in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Stay up-to-date on promotions and specials, proactively advising clients of potential savings opportunities.
• Consistently meet or exceed personal sales and revenue targets.
• Research and book travel products using our GDS system (Sabre) and internal reservation systems in a resourceful, entrepreneurial, and thorough manner.
• Effectively utilize the Internet and other tools to service customer needs.
• Be alert to changing trends and client needs, adapting services to meet those needs, even in challenging circumstances.
• Quickly assess client needs and source solutions while maintaining a focus on successful sales results and promoting new travel business.
• Sell travel packages across all product categories, including preparing complex itineraries with a mix of products.

Position Requirements:
• Minimum 2 years of sales experience within an agency or tour operator environment.
• Strong communication skills with an enthusiastic, optimistic, and accommodating personality.
• Ability to influence using proficient sales and prospecting techniques while building friendly, positive relationships.
• Capable of managing multiple clients and their travel requests effectively.
• Self-motivated with a positive, professional approach to customer service.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask, prioritize, and communicate effectively.
• Minimum 6-month experience with a GDS (preferrable Sabre) is an asset

Education
• Travel training program, Certified Travel Manager/Consultant (CTM or CTC designation), or equivalent experience.

Salary/Wage

55,000 - $65,000 based on experience
