Join Our Team at The Crystal Lodge – Manager on Duty (MOD) Opportunity!

Are you an experienced Front Desk or Reservations Agent looking to take the next step in your hospitality career? The Crystal Lodge is seeking a Manager on Duty (MOD) to join our dynamic Front Desk team!

*Limited shared staff housing is available!

About the Role:
As MOD, you’ll be the first point of contact in the absence of senior management, making key decisions to ensure smooth hotel operations. Working closely with a team of MODs, you’ll uphold Crystal Lodge’s high standards while leading by example and delivering outstanding guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily front desk operations, including guest check-ins, check-outs, concierge services, luggage assistance, and valet.
Support and supervise the Front Office team in the absence of the Front Office Manager.
Handle guest inquiries and resolve complaints efficiently, ensuring top-tier customer satisfaction.
Train new team members on hotel policies and procedures to ensure seamless service.
Respond to and document incidents appropriately, ensuring safety and compliance.
Maximize revenue through walk-in bookings and upselling opportunities.
Assist with guest billing queries and liaise with the Night Audit team to maintain smooth operations.
Provide seasonal support for bell/valet services, as well as bike and ski storage.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

Experience: At least 3 years in customer service, including 1+ year in a supervisory role within Front Desk or Reservations.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in RDP, LodgeNet, Protobase, and MS Office is preferred.
Leadership: Ability to motivate, inspire, and lead by example.
Problem-Solving: Quick thinking and confident decision-making skills.
Flexibility: Availability to cover Night Audit shifts occasionally as part of the team rotation.
Other Assets: Experience with Front Office budgets, disciplinary procedures, cash handling, hospitality/tourism diploma, and a second language are all beneficial.
Requirements: A valid BC driver’s license is essential.

Salary/Wage

22.88 - 25.50
