Job Description

The Marketing Coordinator will work collaboratively with the Northern BC Tourism Marketing team and our partners to support promoting Northern BC as a remarkable and sustainable travel destination.

This position is responsible for the effective coordination and project management of the association’s marketing initiatives including project management, stakeholder engagement, campaign coordination – including paying close attention to all details and moving parts of complex campaigns with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Campaign Coordination:
Work with creative agencies and partners to schedule meetings and manage deadlines and deliverables as laid out in contractual agreements
Assure that all deadlines related to projects are met
Work with agencies on social media ad buys
Fact checking and feedback on creative
Coordinate of relevant photo and video assets as required
Writing marketing copy and organizing photo and video assets as required
Manage social media channels and community
Gather and analyze data and create campaign reporting

Community Coordination:
Proactively ensure all NBCTA marketing efforts are aligned with community goals
Work with community partners and NBCTA team to communicate, schedule meetings, create minutes and track action items
Fielding questions and feedback from community stakeholders, with support from the team

Administrative Duties
Manage ongoing budgets through spreadsheets and online project management programs, tracking ingoing and outgoing expenditures against multiple budget streams on a weekly basis
Write and support grant applications as required
Report on campaign traction and results to partners and funders
Become familiar and comfortable with project management software (organization currently uses Airtable) to manage all aspects of multiple projects and ensure all deliverables are met on budget and on schedule
Ongoing social media management as required
Web content and newsletter development as required

Job Requirements & Qualifications
An extremely organized and detail-oriented individual who has a proven ability to manage multiple complex projects at one time
Very strong communication skills and a proven ability to present projects to stakeholders and generate buy-in
Must be comfortable designing and writing copy for email newsletters and websites
Must have a strong working knowledge of Google Suite, Meta Business Suite (Facebook and Instagram)

Other qualifications not required but considered an asset (successful candidate will be trained)

Wordpress
Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Final Cut)
Social media management platforms
Airtable or other Project Management software
Google Analytics
Digital Asset Management
Grant writing and marketing campaign reporting
Ability to report on, and analyze, digital metrics and provide reporting on all digital marketing efforts
Canva
Mailchimp

Salary/Wage

50,000 - $53,000 / year
