Job Description

A L’Abattoir Private Dining Service Lead is responsible for the ownership of all event execution and departmental operations to ensure effective and successful service delivery in the Private Dining Room and affiliated events at L’Abattoir Restaurant. The department requires a minimum of 3 Leads employed at one time, to ensure the fulfillment of necessary responsibilities for each individual lead role. As a collective, they are integral for the success of the department work/life balance of the team as a whole. Private Dining Room Leads take priority in scheduling and are expected to be available for full-time work, however are not required to do so. They have experience in event management and a background in fine dining service is an asset.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

1) The embodiment of all values and leadership principles as outlined in the company handbook and/or general code of conduct
2) Take part in regular meetings with L’Abattoir leadership to review schedules, upcoming business levels and communicate needs of the Private Dining Room team in order to execute successful events.
3) Proficient in all aspects of verbal and written English and communicates in a language that is professional at all times.
4) Set-up, execution and tear down of all Private Dining Room events in compliance with the outlined SOP’s, protocol, and Event Orders.
5) Point of contact for 3rd party vendors and clients leading up to events, once the event is finalized and no longer the responsibility of the Director of Sales.
6) Opening and closing duties for the Private Dining Room
7) Running the business in complete compliance with Vancouver Health Authority, WorkSafeBC and WHMIS
8) Valid Serving It Right certification
