Job Description

The Rosedale on Robson Suite Hotel is seeking team members for the guest services area. We are seeking team members that are professional in their work habits and can deal with our guests in a professional manner. This position may be of interest to those who only want two night audit shifts.

Job Duties:

• Responsible for ensuring that our guests are treated in a manner that will create a positive experience and a repeat guest
• Responsible for the proper maintenance of all Guest Services records
• Responsible for guest check-in and departure
• Responsible for proper accounting practices
• Maintaining current knowledge of Vancouver area attractions and points of interest
• Responsible for following all security and safety procedures to ensure the safety of our guests and team members
• Responsible for maintaining proper and efficient communication with various departments within the hotel

Responsibilities & Qualifications

• Completion of High School G.E.D. or equivalent
• Completion of Hotel courses would be an asset, such as V.C.C.
• Two years experience in a guest services position
• Night audit experience
• Fluency in written and verbal English. A second language would be a definite asset. Preference given to those who speak Portuguese, Korean, French, Dutch, Japanese and/or German
• Must be available to work AM and PM shifts, as well as two audit shifts
• Flexibility with shifts is a must
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of PMS systems, preferably Royal Suite
• Excellent telephone skills. Use of a PBX, voicemail and wakeup system is a must
• Excellent conflict resolution and negotiation skills

Salary/Wage

22.50 to start
