Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sea Kayak Instructor to lead beginner to novice level kayaking courses. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in kayaking techniques and a genuine love for the marine environment. You will be responsible for providing safe, enjoyable, and informative kayaking experiences to individuals of all skill levels.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Instruction: Design and deliver high-quality kayak instruction, covering essential skills such as basic paddling strokes, turning techniques, wet exits, and self-rescues.
Group Management: Effectively manage groups of varying skill levels, adapting teaching methods to meet the needs of each individual while maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Safety: Prioritize safety by conducting thorough risk assessments, enforcing safety protocols, and responding appropriately to emergency situations.
Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that all kayaking equipment is in good working condition and properly maintained.
Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, addressing client inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
Qualifications: Level One Paddle Canada Instructor certification. WFR certification

Salary/Wage

17.40 - 25.00 per hour
