Job Description

As a Stay Wilder Host, you are the heart of our guest experience, ensuring a seamless and memorable stay from pre-arrival communication to post-departure follow-ups. Your responsibilities will span reservations, housekeeping, concierge services, and general site maintenance. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about regenerative hospitality, guest engagement, and off-grid living. Success in this role requires authentic hospitality, adaptability, resourcefulness, and a strong ability to troubleshoot challenges that come with an off-grid environment.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Key Responsibilities

Guest Experience & Concierge Services

Create a welcoming and exceptional guest experience in all aspects of your work.
Provide concierge-style services, including local recommendations, activity bookings, and Indigenous-led experience coordination.
Ensure guests have everything they need for a seamless stay, troubleshooting issues as they arise.
Share knowledge about Stay Wilder’s eco-friendly and regenerative practices and guide guests in using off-grid amenities effectively.
Communicate with guests before arrival to provide essential information and confirm special requests.


Reservations & Front Office

Manage reservations, check-ins, and check-outs using WebRezPro, our resort’s booking system.
Handle inquiries via email, phone, text, and in-person interactions with professionalism and efficiency.
Utilize Microsoft Teams for internal communication and coordination with the Stay Wilder team.

Housekeeping & Property Maintenance

Perform housekeeping duties including:
Cleaning and resetting domes, wash houses, and outdoor spaces.
Laundering accommodation linens.
Other housekeeping duties as assigned.
Maintain clean, communicable disease-safe practices through regular sanitation of all surfaces in accommodations and shared spaces.
Conduct routine inspections of guest spaces, common areas, and resort operations areas, to maintain cleanliness and functionality.
Assist with site groundskeeping and general maintenance as needed.

Qualifications & Skills

Previous experience in hospitality, high-end concierge services, housekeeping, or resort operations.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with excellent attention to detail.
Friendly, professional demeanor with outstanding communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and problem-solve in a remote, off-grid setting where access to immediate support may be limited.
Comfortable using reservation booking systems including WebRezPro for reservations and Microsoft Teams for team communication.
Physically capable of performing housekeeping duties and light maintenance tasks.
Knowledge of or willingness to learn about Indigenous-led experiences and eco-friendly, and regenerative hospitality practices.

Additional Requirements

Must have reliable transportation to and from the resort.
Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varied shifts as needed.
A passion for nature, sustainability, and creating unforgettable guest experiences.

Other Perks/Benefits

Compensation & Benefits • Wage range: $22 - $25 per hour, with potential for gratuities. • Subsidized accommodation in an off-grid micro home. Utilities are included. • $100 per month wellness credit. • Vacation pay at 4% of earnings, paid on each payroll. • Hours of work will vary between 35 - 40 hours per week but are mostly full-time during peak season. • Gas allowance for resort-related activities. • Opportunity to live and work in a breathtaking natural setting. • Hands-on experience in sustainable tourism and regenerative practices. • Staff discounts on resort experiences and partner activities. • Future opportunities for growth with our brand. Note: Vacation or unpaid leave is not permitted during part-time or short-term employment but is available for full-time permanent positions that extend beyond the first season.
