Job Description

Tourism Wells Gray are looking for a driven, independent and self-motivated Tourism Development Officer to work on the development of social media content creation and supporting our marketing strategies. This includes working towards content generation and other social media tactics to promote destination awareness. Key duties include implementing content marketing activities aligned with the Tourism Wells Gray Strategic Plan. The role requires an excellent understanding of content creation and content marketing, strong project management skills and an ability to write story ideas across a variety formats.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Tasks and responsibilities for this role includes:
– managing and uploading pages and content to a WordPress website,
– creating promotional copy
– photographing and providing images/video,
– hiking and GPSing trails
– collaborating with local stakeholders to promote the area and it’s attractions and amenities.
This position reports directly to the Tourism Wells Gray Executive Director and will assist in marketing and advertising campaigns for the Summer. This position is for someone who is looking forward to getting out into Wells Gray Park and Wells Gray Country and sharing with the world what a spectacular world-class destination this is.
