Job Description
Cariboo Chilcotin Coast Tourism supports critical work in tourism emergency planning and preparedness as part of the Provincial Tourism Emergency Management Framework. This year’s summer student will have the opportunity to refine skills through supporting communications with emergency support services and emergency operations centers, communications with BC wildfire services, updating operator emergency plans, creating newsletters to share emergency mitigation and preparedness tools and information with tourism operators and local residents.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Duties may include tracking available accommodations and updating to support emergency personnel, monitor news communications, updating digital information on CCC tourism channels, attending regional meetings, undergoing training and liaising with Destination BC and Destination Canada on key messages.
