Job Description

Daily tour guide duties include pre-trip preparation, collecting guests, and delivering guest orientation. Throughout the tour, Cheers guides deliver a fun, informative down-to-earth system that enables guests to quickly understand the complexities of viticulture and winemaking blended with how to choose the right wine 100% of the time. Consequently, guests feel at ease, relaxed, confident, and comfortable as they revel in an unforgettable once-in-a-lifetime type experience.
Cheers tour guides are personally engaging, knowledgeable, professional raconteurs and true service aficionados who share colourful local history and interesting information (I.e. why Kal Lake’s color ranges from cyan to indigo, about grape farming (viticulture), wine and the wine industry, extinct volcanoes, Area 27, “The Ditch”, McIntyre Bluff, Frank Richter Sr. and local legends) real estate prices, other local adventures, and interesting information – not just your golf handicap.
Cheers tour guides perform wrap-up protocols, return guests to their accommodations or to another venue such as a restaurant, a boat tour, plus perform post-tour procedures.
Cheers tour guides are also given the opportunity to perform as Shuttle Drivers and Chauffeurs too as we also deliver safe, clean, reliable transportation solutions such as; Airport Shuttles, Ski Shuttles, Winter Wine Tours, Boat Tours, Party, Golf, Dinner, and Wedding Transportation.
Unquestionably, the single greatest influence on the atmosphere, pace, and tone of a tour of any kind is the guide. Great tour guides demonstrate passion and personality interpreting and presenting each tour as an extension of themselves – as naturally as breathing
