As it has been another challenging month, I want to share a really positive experience I had recently that illustrates the depth and breadth of the heart of the tourism and hospitality community which speaks to why we are all working so hard to save this great industry. Our economy has been hit and charities felt the impacts too. As a guest at a virtual gala earlier this month, I felt proud to see donations from tourism and hospitality businesses in the lot. Certainly, when times were good, tourism and hospitality was always there. But what is more remarkable in my opinion, is how some continue to help others when they are faced with such dire circumstances. I was really inspired by their ability to focus on the joy others receive for the rest and relaxation that comes from travel and experiences. And that’s where I drew the connection to heart and community. Because as an industry, we are generous and big hearted. As a community, we are supportive of a host of other business’ and endeavors to make each of our operators an important member of the community.
While there is no question that our industry has been shaken, it is this sign of resiliency that has lifted my spirits and filled my heart with hope with our future and thoughts that our summer can be saved.
At go2HR, we are excited about this months’ launch of BSAFE, a new online training program that was only possible with industry support and collaboration. A shout out to the go2HR team who have worked hard to meet the aggressive deadlines and to insure industry input and collaboration all along the way. I’m really proud of my team and what we’ve been able to accomplish and deliver to industry. I’m also cognizant of the support you all have played in helping us to promote the program. We appreciate that and ask for you to continue to help promoting. Here is a link that you can share to sign up.
