Vaccine Appointment Coming Up What to Expect:

Got your vaccination appointment? Here’s are some tips to help you arrive prepared. Before you arrive, preferably a few minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time, be sure you are wearing a mask. Wear a short sleeved or sleeveless shirt to provide easy access to the injection site.  Be prepared to wait 15 minutes after your vaccination in an observation area on site to insure no reaction.

Remember physical distancing protocols will be in place. Do not attend the clinic if you are feeling unwell, experiencing COVID-19 like symptoms or if you have been asked by Public Health to self-isolate.

Dotting the I, Crossing the T: 3 Expert Tips for Writing Your COVID-19 Safety Plan

  • Be Specific: Identifying the who, what, when and where in your COVID-19 Safety plan is critical. Procedures and responsibilities should be clearly set out.
  • Be Direct: Instead of using words like “should, would, could or may” which can be vague, unspecific, and ultimately confusing, switch to a more active voice and use verbs such as “can, will and shall” to describe your procedures.
  • Be Ready to Review: COVID-19 safety plans must be regularly reviewed and updated as necessary. Be sure to outline the steps that will trigger the review process within your plan.
